Oral history project looks for veterans of El Toro
Orange County, CA—California State University, Fullerton’s Center for Oral and Public History has begun working to preserve the history of the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station through the Oral History Project.
Sponsored by the Great Park Corporation, the Oral History Project is seeking to record interviews with both military personnel and civilians who served on the base while it was an active military installation.
The project is being led by Dr. Natalie Fousekis, Associate Director of the Center for Oral and Public History. “It is of the utmost importance to record the stories of the men and women who were stationed at El Toro,” said Fousekis. “Their stories are an important part of not only El Toro’s history, but also the greater Orange County community.”
