(SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS) – Women Writing the West (WWW), a national writers’ organization, is bringing headliner writers, editors and publishers to San Antonio for its national conference on October 24-26, 2008, at the Omni Hotel at the Colonnade on IH-10 West.
WWW is a non-profit association of writers and other professionals writing and promoting the Women’s West, with members throughout Texas and the United States. The conference will feature seminars focused on topics from writing stories to finding editors and publishers, then marketing the finished product.
The organization has secured talented presenters such as David W. Balsiger of Grizzly Adams Productions; Mike Farris and Stephanie Von Borstel, literary agents; and editors and publishers such as the University of North Texas Press, Treble Heart Books and Old American Publishing, plus much more.
“We are excited that WWW is returning to San Antonio,” Cynthia Leal Massey, VP of conference, said. “This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned writers as well as aspiring ones to hear skilled professionals in the field. The conference is open to members as well as non-members, and provides great networking time with published authors, editors and publishers.”
The Early Bird discounted registration deadline is June 30th. Conference rates for rooms are available. For information about and registration forms for the conference, log on www.womenwritingthewest.com, or write Cynthia Leal Massey at cmassey2@satx.rr.com.
